Gentle Resources
Gentle resources
You may find some of these resources supportive in everyday moments, particularly when things feel difficult, overwhelming, or in need of a pause.
There is no need to use them in any particular way — you are welcome to explore what feels helpful, at your own pace.
You might return to them when you need a moment of steadiness, or simply as a way of taking a little time for yourself.
Music
At times, music can offer a way of shifting how we feel, gently connecting with emotions, and creating a sense of comfort, movement or space.
You might notice what you are drawn to, what feels soothing, or what helps you reconnect with yourself.
Sometimes music offers calm and reflection; at other times it can bring energy, movement, release or a sense of joy.

Simple supports for everyday moments
These are small, everyday ways of looking after yourself. They may seem simple, yet they can make a difference over time.
stepping outside for some fresh air
pausing with a warm drink
listening to music or moving gently with it
noticing your breathing, perhaps taking a deeper breath or sigh, and gently moving your shoulders or neck, where tension can often build
using a familiar scent, such as perfume, a hand cream, essential oil or candle
taking a short walk
splashing your face with cold water
taking a few minutes to pause during your day, for example, looking out of the window
giving yourself a hug or holding something comforting, such as a pillow or blanket
gently reminding yourself that you are enough
Sometimes, even the basics — such as getting out of bed, cleaning your teeth, having a shower, drinking water, or eating something — can be a helpful place to begin.
You may already have your own ways of supporting yourself. This is simply a place to return to if you need a reminder.

A gentle note
You do not need to do any of these things, or do them consistently.
Sometimes, a small moment of noticing what you might need is enough.
